Jonathan MartinJonathan E. Martin is the Director of K-12 Consulting Services for ACT. A former 15 year school leader, he has consulted since 2012 full time to schools and organizations on 21st century learning and social-emotional learning; in that capacity, he participated in the two year development of what is now ACT Tessera, the new social emotional learning system. He regularly blogs for ACT on SEL, and is the author of the e-book 8 Steps to Strengthening SEL in your School or District. He holds a BA from Harvard University, and a MA from the Education School at the University of San Francisco.

Jeff AllmonJeff Allmon is currently in his sixteenth year as a school counselor at McPherson Middle School in McPherson, Kansas. Prior to that he was an elementary school teacher and counselor. Jeff co-wrote one of the first comprehensive elementary guidance curriculums in the state of Kansas. He was voted teacher of the year two times. He served as president of his local teachers association and was also the chief negotiator for his district for many years. Jeff serves as the ACT Kansas State Council Chair. Jeff has developed a curriculum that aligned with the ACT Engage assessment to address the social and emotional needs of middle school students. He has presented this curriculum at multiple state conferences and testified to the Kansas state legislature regarding the importance of SEL and assessment. Jeff is currently piloting ACT Tessera, the new SEL Assessment System. He has developed numerous SEL interventions and strategies.
